Opportunities
General
- NYU CareerNet is a great site for looking for any sort of job. Upload your Resume and Cover Letter on to the site, browse for work in your field, and apply. Fellowships, internships, fulltime, and partime work is available here.
- GlassDoor is primarily geared torwards full-time work. The site has hundreds of postings for jobs available at the university and is also helpful if you're anticipating an interview at NYU and want to see potential interview questions.
- NYU Langone Medical Center offers volunteer, internship, part-time, full-time positions in the medical field. Alternatively, you can browse job listings at NYU Lutheran, which is a part of the NYU Langone system.
- NYU Lists can be a great way to get information on potential jobs within certain fields. NYU Lists send out e-mails from extrraciricular societies to announce upcoming events. Many of these are networking events. Other groups actively post job opportunities within their respective fields. Log in and browse through the available lists. Select the categories that interest you and subscribe at the bottom.
Part-Time and Internships
- America Reads and Counts is a program offered to NYU students. It allows students to tutor young children, grade levels ranging between Pre-K through 8th grade. Hours required are generally not very demanding.
- Becoming a PTC tutor is a great idea if you're a student at the Brooklyn Campus and have good skills in STEM. Both Graduate and Undergraduate students work at the PTC. The PTC also offers Office Aide positions. Note: If you are an English, Humanities, or Technical Communications graduate student, the PTC has positions open for Writing Consultants.
- NYU Skirball has a wide of variety positions available to students and others. For studnets, available positions include Ushers, Lighting/Audio Techniciains, Adminsitrative Assistance, Graphic Designers, and more. They are also looking for Freelance Technical Staff to perform standard theater technician duties.
